THANK YOU!
Well, I have spent the past year at Sadowski Auto Care and I can say that it has been an awesome experience! All the laughs and the knowledge that I have learned this past year will stick with me through tech school. I can proudly say that the men and women I worked with started off as friends and coworkers but slowly became like a second family to me. So thank you Sadowski Auto Care for letting me intern at your business!

Clean Bay Happy Bay
Cars have a lot of liquids inside of them, and while dismantling them, they tend to spill and make a mess everywhere. Also if the car is old there can be a lot of dirt and metal that falls off due to rust underneath the car. So it's always best to keep your area clean so you don't slip. Mop up the spilled liquid and brush up the metal. Also always place used and dirty rags in a container to be taken out for washing.

Wheels
The wheels are also another very important part of the car. I mean, come on, the part that actually makes the car move has to be a vital asset. Wheels are a must have. The wheels consist of the rim, the tire, and the air sensor. These three things will make a wheel. Each wheel has a specific lug nutt and torque. Also depending on the size of the wheel, the air needed for each wheel varies.
Struts
This week was all about struts and how they function in the car. Struts are a very important part, they first connect the wheel to the car. They also reduce the cars bounce and help the car drive stable. It is a staple part in any automotive.

Engines
The past week I have been learning a lot about the engines of cars: what it takes to run and how to keep it maintained. The engine is like the heart of the car, its main source of power. Without the engine there really wouldn't be much of a car. The engine requires oil to keep it pumping. That is why they say at the shop after a set amount of time, 3,000 miles, you are due for an oil change.

Volt, Watts, and Amps
Last week Tomasz was explaining to me about how volt, watts, and amps worked. He explained how much are in a car and a house and how you can find each one with the other two. We also learned about how if the motor or whatever you are trying to power asks for a certain watt or volt you can't under power it.

Brakes
The past week I have spent my time learning how brakes work on a car. I learned what is needed for them and how they function. I also learned how calipers work, how they need to be lubed up in order to fully work, and how it´s best to change the rotors on the car as well when doing brakes.

Oil Changes
All About Oil
This week I´ve been spending quite a time with Tomasz and Nick doing oil changes. I have learned why oil is such a main source in the car and how it helps run the car, spin the pistons and pump the car.
I also have learned about batteries and the volts on them. I now know what the exact amount should be on each new battery. I learned that the battery just starts the car while the alternator helps keep the car´s headlights, radio, and anything electronic going in the vehicle.
